A lot of Bands & Artists find recording to be a joyless experience, in a Studio that feels more like a cold Clinic type environment...not very inspiring.
Going down the route of a Cubase or Pro-Tools based Studio can be very expensive.
There is really no need to do so unless your about to make a recording that's due for commercial release on a massive scale.
You can also upset Promoters or Labels that maybe interested in you due to having a recording that sounds far better than you actually do.
Hardly surprising with all the computer trickery applied to the audio, knocking everything into spot on timing & pitch...ect....I think CD's should carry a warning that the audio has been manipulated & does not reflect the Artsists real talent.

Have a listen to a few tracks recorded at Mad Dog using the player on the right....there really is no need to go fully digital or record in a clinic!
